Your Excellency the  President of Ghana ,Vice President,  Members of parliament, Ministers of state and other officials of Government for the diverse roles they play, the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II,  Ladies and Gentlemen, my fellow Ghanaians.


It is my very greatest  pleasure to salute all women in Government positions, and those in global roles – who inspire me every day to lead for better outcomes for women and for all of society.


I am delighted to address this Goodwill Message to the entire nation.

 I salute all the people of Ghana for their united spirit in the face of covid 19 . The pandemic has heightened the importance of the success of working together as a united Ghana.


Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) my  advice for all Ghanaians


 *What to do to* *keep yourself* *and others safe* *from COVID-19* 

•       *Maintain* *at least a 1* *-metre distance* *between* *yourself and* *others* to reduce your risk of infection when they cough, sneeze or speak.

•       *Make* *wearing a* *mask a normal* part of being around other people. The appropriate use, storage and cleaning or disposal is essential to make masks as effective as possible.


     *Make your* *environment* *safer* 

•       Avoid the 3Cs: spaces that are closed, crowded or involve close contact.

•       Meet people outside. Outdoor gatherings are safer than indoor ones, particularly if indoor spaces are small and without outdoor air coming in.

•       Avoid crowded or indoor settings but if you can’t, then take precautions:


 *PREVENTIVE* *MEASURES* *FOR THE* *GENERAL* *PUBLIC* 

•       Stay at home; Observe social distancing; Avoid handshaking

•       Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.

•       Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, dispose the tissue in a closed bin, and then wash your hands.

•       Always wear a mask, particularly when leaving home

•       Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.

•       Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects or surfaces such as remote controls and doorknobs.

•       Avoid close contact with people who are sick.

•       Call the designated health line(s) in your district for necessary assistance or support if you develop fever, cough, or difficulty breathing.
